This dissertation analyses the contribution of Adult Education and Training (EFA) courses in the aeronautical field to the employability of their graduates, based on a case study carried out in a company located in the Setúbal Peninsula. Drawing on a qualitative and exploratory approach, the research employed semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis to understand the extent to which these courses meet the demands of the sector and promote sustainable pathways to employment. The results reveal a significant appreciation of the technical and transversal skills acquired, as well as an overall positive perception among former trainees and employer regarding the adequacy of training to organizational needs. However, some limitations were also identified, particularly concerning the social recognition of specialized technical work, the attractiveness of the training, and the integration of adults with discontinuous educational backgrounds. The analysis highlights the importance of integrated training policies oriented towards employability, emphasizing the role of cooperation between training centers, companies, and public policies. It is concluded that EFA courses, when aligned with Strategic Human Resource Management practices, can constitute an effective instrument for qualification and professional integration in highly demanding technical sectors such as the aeronautical industry.
